Somebody Told Me by The Killers - This song takes me back about four years when The Killers came out with their 1st album. I remember hearing this song on the VH1 Top 20 Countdown and instantly fell in love with The Killers. I didn't really get the song but still loved it. I am not sure that I get it now but still love the song. It is another one of those songs that comes on and I find myself getting pumped up. Pumped up for what I am not sure but pumped up nonetheless. Much like Brandon Flowers in the video...the leg starts kicking and the fists start pumping and before I know it...I am singing along. The beat of the song is by far the best part...as it is one of those pulsing beats that sticks in your head for days. It is no wonder that The Killers are still kicking ass in the music world with a start like this. Best Line: "Pace yourself for me, I said maybe baby please but I just don't know now when all I wanna do is try."

If I Fell by The Beatles - Most of you already know my take on The Beatles. I strongly believe that they are good...but not as good as everyone thinks that they are. But that is not the point tonight. This is my favorite song by The Beatles. The sweetness of this song just makes me melt whenever I hear it. There really is only one line worth mentioning but it is no doubt the reason that I love it. I hear it and I reflect on the deeper meaning of it. It is easy to overlook the greatness that is the opening verse. It is a scary thing to be on the brink of falling in love with someone...let alone to ask them to teach you what it really means to love that person. Do you jump? Will you regret it if you do? I say no...no regrets at all because love like that...imperfect though it may be is worth it. Best Line (s): "If I fell in love with you would you promise to be true and help me understand 'cause I've been in love before and I found that love was more than just holding hands."

Crash Into Me by Dave Matthews - For as overrated as I think that the Dave Matthews Band is I have to say that this song is probably one of the sexiest songs ever written. It is not overtly sexy which is what makes it sexy. I remember thinking as a teenager that I very much wanted to believe that love existed in the world the way that it did in the song. I still want to believe that love can be seen in my eyes. Best Line: "I'm bare boned and crazy....for you."

Human by The Killers - Seriously...this song gets better every time I hear it. Without a doubt it is the best song of the year...there I said it! (Shout out to you Andrew!) Lyrically and musically it is phenomenal. I feel like I could write and write and write about this song and never be able to capture how awesome it is. You have to hear and listen to it to appreciate how great it is. I changed my Caller Tunes to this song for all but one person because the song is so damn awesome. It is tough to pick the best line because the entire song is like one great line. But here it is. Best Line: " Give my regards to soul and romance, they always did the best they could."

Don't Look Back In Anger by Oasis - Bloody hell I get mad whenever I listen to Oasis. They were so damn talented and they blew it. Oh well. But that is not the point. I always smile when I hear this song because I remember singing this song but not knowing the words. Bobby finally looked up the lyrics (I am pretty sure that this was before the ease of Google) to prove to me that it really was "So Sally can wait" and not whatever goofy thing that I said instead. This is not the best Oasis song but probably the second best so go ahead and download it. Best Line: "You ain't ever gonna burn my heart out."
